Leadership Diagnostic

Your AI tells you more about your leadership than any survey.

Five prompts. One meeting transcript. Ten minutes. You'll see, in your own words, exactly where you stand on AI. No sign-up. No sales pitch. Just an honest mirror.

How to Use It

1

Open Your Transcript

Grab your last meeting transcript. Most video platforms save these automatically: Teams, Zoom, Google Meet all have them.

2

Open Your AI Tool

Launch Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini. Whichever you have access to. We're tool-agnostic.

3

Paste and Prompt

Paste your transcript and try each prompt below. Read what it reveals. Most leaders spend 10 minutes on this.

Note: If you don't have a transcript yet, use any recent email thread or board paper. The prompts still work; the transcript is just richer.

The Five Prompts

1. Unstated Assumptions
You are an executive coach. Review this transcript. What are my top three unstated assumptions about AI that are worth challenging?
What this reveals:
Your hidden beliefs about AI — the ones shaping every decision you make without you realising it. Most leaders discover they're either overestimating AI's near-term capability or underestimating its relevance to their own role.
2. The Say-Do Gap
What does my language in this conversation suggest about the gap between my stated intent and likely behaviour around AI adoption?
What this reveals:
The say-do gap. Leaders often commit to AI transformation verbally whilst their language patterns reveal hesitation, delegation, or passive resistance. This prompt surfaces that gap before your team notices it.
3. Your Blind Spots
What questions did I not ask that, as a [your role] navigating [your context], I probably should have?
What this reveals:
Your blind spots. The questions you didn't think to ask tell you more about your readiness than the ones you did. This is especially powerful for leaders navigating regulatory change, acquisitions, or board pressure.
4. Your 90-Day Priority
Draft a 90-day personal AI capability priority for a [your role] in a [your sector] environment, based on what I said.
What this reveals:
A personalised roadmap — not generic advice, but one built from your actual words, priorities, and constraints. It shows you where to focus first and what to defer.

5. The Full Mirror
I want you to act as a world-class behavioural psychologist, executive coach and organisational diagnostician. Using all the data you have access to in emails, Teams messages and SharePoint, build a detailed leadership profile of me — my communication style, decision-making patterns, what I value, where I'm strong under pressure and where I'll have blind spots. Then, for each of my direct reports and key peers, build a persona — their working style, what motivates them, where the gaps are. Now layer on AI: where would you place each of us on an AI adoption journey? Who's likely to lead, who'll follow, and who's quietly going to become a blocker? Finally, I'm considering running an experiential leadership AI programme. Given what you know about this group, how would that land? Who would it unlock first? Who would it threaten? And what would I need to do personally to make it land well?
What this reveals:
This is the moment most leaders realise AI isn't "a thing that happens over there." When you speak to your AI and it builds a profile of you from your own data, you understand — viscerally — what this technology means for your leadership. This is TIP's PERSONAL session in miniature.

What Happens Next

Most leaders who try these prompts do one of three things:

Try All Five & Go Deeper

You realise five prompts are the start, not the end. You see the architecture of your own assumptions and want to rebuild them properly.

Book a PERSONAL Session →

Share with Your Team

You run the prompts with your direct reports. The conversation that happens is the point. That's when real change begins.

Book a TEAM Session →

Send Results to Your CEO

Your CEO needs to understand what you've learned. You want a forum where the whole leadership team sees this together.

Book a PERSONAL session →

All three are valid. All three lead somewhere useful.

"I thought AI was a thing that happens over there. IT does something to processes or systems that are somewhat removed from me. I couldn't see how it was going to help me personally."

— HR Director, FTSE-250 Global Insurer (before her PERSONAL session)
